As I have previously mentioned:
Color is very significant for me,
Therefore I am “writing” in a shade of green
which represents my new life
in my new “position”,
my same old “heart.”
I will communicate non-scriptural, personal views
in italics.
I will quote scriptures
without italics
and input which is not personal to me
without italicizing.
Esther 5:1 KJV
Now it came to pass on the third day, that Esther put on her royal apparel, and stood in the inner court of the king's house, over against the king's house: and the king sat upon his royal throne in the royal house, over against the gate of the house.
Talk about TRIGGERING!!!!
Flashback to Olympia, Washington, convention August 1989.
Jack Price and Sydney Holt (attending Milltown convention simultaneously), had sent the message via the worker underground
that they would listen to any worker who wanted
to share their concerns about the work in WA/NID/AK…
I will never know the “who” of who had visited
regarding concerns of issues other than sexual abuse.
My “recall” is focused on the depth of anguished
decision making that Sunday morning between
Olympia I & Olympia II conventions.
How can we as victims ever convey the depth of
terror and aloneness as we contemplate
“going public.”
The survivor/friend/coworker Dorothy Davidson
Had given me “permission”,
Perhaps 2 or 3 years previously.
To use her name when I decided to
Go to “THE” brothers
With “MY STORY”.
There is only one true way to approach decision making rulers.
It is in the yoke of the meekness and humility of Jesus.
Did I have it?
NO.
Was I terrified?
Yes.
Was God with me in spite of me?
Yes.
3 women had shared that their names could be used
at the time I would finally be moved by GOD
“TO TELL!”
Esther 5:2 KJV
And it was so, when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, that she obtained favour in his sight: and the king held out to Esther the golden sceptre that was in his hand. So Esther drew near, and touched the top of the sceptre.
I was believed.
I can’t think I would have been without the witness of the other 3 women.
3 women, including Dorothy D, had written letters
about their experience in 1979
and shared them with two “overseers”.
About the same time, two young sisters,
laboring under Bob Ingram & Truitt Oyler.
had attempted to tell their overseer of the apostasy
of worshiping Bob Ingram instead of God.
The culture of the entire world until the Catholic priests were exposed was “keep the secret.”
Below is a copy of what began to be a witness
to criminal behavior.
Conviction and incarceration under the law
remain at a low 1-2%.
In early 2002, The Boston Globe published results of an investigation that led to the criminal prosecutions of five Roman Catholic priests and thrust the sexual abuse of minors by Catholic clergy into the national spotlight. Another accused priest who was involved in the Spotlight scandal also pleaded guilty.
I want to add a postscript to the above.
June 26th, in study meeting, the above line up,
(which I intended to share),
completely disappeared.
Instead, I was able to share the following:
“All I can think of is
when I faced 8 overseers 35 years ago,
who I thought would determine my future,
instead, God has proven He is on His throne
determining my life .”
The next day a dove came to the tree outside my window,
If you have read “My Story”, you understand the significance of “The Dove” in my heart, mind and soul.
Dear Claudia. I can feel the terror with you! All the more, deep gratitude for our Faithful God, the Comforter, reassurance of His Care. 🕊️
